This is a great place. The unit is clean, well maintained and has lots of natural light. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach as well as easy access to major highways. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, including a deli at the end of the block and great coffee across the street. So easy to live in the space.

We had a lovely time at ocean beach here! It’s around a 15-20 minute walk to the beach/ main strip. Location was nice with lots of good restaurants and coffee shops near by. The home was spacious and clean :) they even accommodated us and offered a later checkout. You might see other neighbors/ guests in the shared front yard but that didn’t bother us at all. Overall we had a good time!

The place is in a good location - we enjoyed walking to dog beach, breakfast joints and bars nearby. The furniture was comfy, but the couch is a little worn. The unit is part of an older fourplex, but the interiors have been updated. The one disappointment we had was with the lack of coordination between the owner, the property manager's office and their staff. The listing clearly stated that there are bikes and beach chairs included, but they were nowhere to be found in the garage. Eventually with the help of the maintenance staff, we located them in a storage closet and enjoyed riding them to the sunset cliffs.

This is a great spot and we really enjoyed our stay. We had a small private patio off of our unit, but also had a commons area in the front, which was fun to talk to people. This is a great, quiet location but close walking to Voltaire St. and an easy walk to Dog Beach or Newport St. There are other great spots to check out nearby, as well. The place was very clean, there’s plenty of space to spread out, and all amenities listed were available. We absolutely recommend this spot and will book again when we return next year.

This place was better than I anticipated. It's got everything you need so skip the rentals, which saves quite a bit of $$$ the courtyard is quiet and peaceful while maintaining a welcoming vibe. This complex(?) has chill neighbors- quiet, friendly. Noisy party next apts over one night which I quite enjoy but noise was pretty easily quieted by apartment walls. House is responsive, friendly, helpful. 5-10 minute walk to- restaurants, skate park, grocery stores and Newport ave (the main "strip" ) which is always fun-rad people, street fairs, festivals, entertainment. And if you want to check out mission or pacific beaches, they are only and 8 minute Uber away. Downtown, Hillcrest, np, golden hill, presidio & balboa parks/museums, mission valley mall, etc are all within a ten minute drive/uber if you MUST leave the apt /ocean beach but it's entirely unnecessary :) also the airport is not all that far either. But you might not want to leave! 💕

Came here to say with my mom and dog for a long weekend getaway and had the best time. Everything was as described and we felt right at home. We walked to dog beach and to local restaurants for breakfast/dinner. I felt so safe taking my dog for a potty break in the early mornings and late nights. We made friends with some of the neighbors, everyone was so friendly. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

We travel to Ocean Beach often and usually stay at a hotel suite on Hotel Circle. This was so much better. We were pleasantly surprised and immediately felt right at home! What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay at the beach. The accommodations were spotless and highly upgraded. Well stocked kitchen and bath, spacious living room area, and the bed was also very comfortable. The location was perfect. Walk to shops, restaurants, and beach. There were many advantages we did not expect. Overall, a great experience, and I must thank Aaron for the excellent responsive communication throughout. A great value, we will certainly be back.

This is a nicely remodeled one bedroom walking distance from the beach. We felt right at home. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The bathroom was clean. There is a comfortable seating area in the courtyard. Aaron was very responsive when we had questions, and the check-in/checkout process was so simple. We will definitely be back.

Great place! Very quiet at night and throughout the day, you can hardly hear the planes flying above. Easy walk to the beach, and very convenient private patio in the back of the unit with a hose which was a surprise upon check in. Host was very communicative and flexible with checkout times. Nice condo in a nice, safe area of Ocean Beach. 1/2 mile to the dog beach, 1/2 mile to Newport Ave where all the restaurants and bars are, though there is a nice brewery just a few blocks away. Parking was almost always available. Very accessible to all of San Diego.

We really enjoyed our stay. This rental is in a prime spot. Walking distance to everything. The place is super clean with awesome extras. It was just an all around amazing rental that made us feel at home. Aaron and team are super commutative and answered all our questions and accommodated all our needs. Construction is still happening next door but they ends pretty early and looks like it’s coming to an end soon. Might be an issue if you like to sleep in or have a little one who fights nap times. We will defiantly book this rental again for future family get always.

Fun location and close to the dog park and beach. All amenities are within walking distance. Public bus transport is outside the door or around the corner so you can get into the city or other transit options easily. Kitchen is fully supplied, place is clean, communication clear...no complaints.

Great place! My husband and I, and our pup, loved this place! It was so convenient with being able to park there and being so close to the dog beach. We loved that we could just walk there from this place. It was the perfect set up for us and the apartment is so cute. Loved having the patio and grass area for our dog. This is a great place to stay. We will definitely be back. The house has a lot of great little touches such as extra bedding, extra towels - both beach and bathroom, shampoo and conditioner, spices, great selection of pots and pans, plenty of utensils, a dishwasher, etc. The portable air conditioner worked well. We walked everywhere, including, to dog beach. It was a wonderful stay.

Great place and location in Ocean Beach. There was a hiccup on our first day with us needing to install a window air conditioner (which the owner did reimburse us for), but otherwise the place was quiet and enjoyable as advertised and had lots of useful amenities.

If you are looking to stay in San Diego and want to be near the beach & have amazing places to visit and eat at look no further , this spot is close to everything , very comfortable , private and peaceful, and if you are concerned about parking don’t be there is a spot out back and plenty of parking outside . It was very clean and well taken care of , did not get to meet host but they answered all my questions immediately and offered a great service , made my trip easy and comfortable thank you very much .

We loved the place. Location may not be right on the beach, but it was a quick walk right to it. There are plenty of little businesses that offer whatever you may want along the way. The apartment was very clean, had all the luxuries you would expect, and had parking. Thanks to the Covid closures, we were able to utilize the stocked and updated kitchen to prepare our dinners. Aaron and his team provided all the information and any follow up requests promptly. Though we never ended up using them, there's a pair of beach cruisers and plenty of bike path to enjoy. Laundry is in the garage, so don't feel the need to overpack. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I recommend you consider this for any rental needs.

I stayed at Casa Verde for only a week and wanted for nothing the entire time I was there. Casa Verde is comfortable, well stocked with staples for both kitchen and bathroom, and will keep you connected with a stable, strong Wi-Fi signal and DirectTV. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, a place to walk Fido if you need that, and remarkably friendly neighbors. Aaron is responsive, accommodating when circumstances permit, and he provides great instructions. Things to be aware of: 1. People are struggling, perhaps now more than ever. You're going to see that. I always felt safe. Be kind and you'll be fine. 2. The place is a little hard to find but follow Aaron's instructions, and you'll be fine. 3. The unit is on the lower level. So, you may feel a little bit of the "fish bowl" effect with the largest window in the living area facing a courtyard. Still, the traffic is minimal and it's still surprisingly quiet. 4. Parking is a little tough if you have a larger car but manageable and great to have. If none of the items on that list concern you, this rental is a 5.

Toya, thanks for the comprehensive review! It is indeed a quiet and small complex and the window looks out into the common area but we do have plenty of privacy with the blinds pulled (and as you noted the other 3 units are "regular" long term tenants (which would normally mean they are at work all day!)). I will include a better description about the parking; it is actually quite a large space as you can hang out over ten feet into the alley and several feet into the fence. My husband and I had a great time at the Casa Verde Condo in Ocean Beach! We stayed for 3 nights with our two medium sized dogs. We wanted to stay in a pet friendly area and this condo certainly delivered! It was a 5-10 minute walk to the dog park and 5 minute drive to the dog beach. I am a teacher working remotely, so the WiFi was a key factor for me. The WiFi in the condo worked well and didn’t give me any issues. The condo was clean and had many useful amenities. Aaron was very responsive and flexible with our schedule. There is a dog friendly deli and 24/7 DoggoWash (self-serve dog wash station) down the street which were both very convenient with our dogs. We highly recommend staying at the Casa Verde if you are looking for a laid back beach spot with your dogs!

Don't hesitate to book. We were combing through listings trying to find the right fit for us (my husband + me and our semi-large dog) and this was the perfect place. Dog-friendly spots and neighborhood, PERFECT location where good food/beach was walkable yet we were an easy drive away from anything else. Place was pristine, updated, gorgeous kitchen and nice and cool. Host was incredibly communicative + fast. Thanks for a great getaway in San Diego in the midst of a rough year.

Aaron is a great and communicative host and provided us with excellent check-in. The location is amazing, just a 10ish minute walk to Dog Beach and 15 min walk to the heart of OB (Newport st etc.) The AC is clutch, and the apartment itself is a good amount of space for a couple and a dog to camp out for an extended stay. The unit itself is on the main floor which means you can easily get in and out. Would recommend for an extended stay!

This is an awesome place to stay, especially if you have dogs. The location is prime as you are walking distance from the dog park, huge fields, dog beach, and downtown. We loved the fact that we could work until 5:30 and then have tons of daylight to take our dogs to the beach after work. Everything was so convenient, clean, and Aaron was super speedy with his responses. The shared outdoor area was also really great. The neighbors were super nice and they were very welcoming to introducing all our dogs! The only downside we felt was the bed - it wasn't the most comfortable for us and squeaked/creaked a lot. Also, this is probably just how it is when you live by the beach, but there were a lot of spiders! For some people this might not matter but for us it caused a bit of anxiety.

As for spiders, it is that time of year (they get active in the early part of summer) but we do have pest control out so I will ask them to attend to that.

This beach cottage was the perfect place to spend our vacation in San Diego. It is very nicely decorated and was cozy. Laundry being onsite was a huge plus!Everything in Ocean Beach was within easy walking distance and we felt really immersed in the OB culture!

We stayed at Aaron’s apartment in Ocean Beach for a month and we loved it. The location can’t be beat, the place was really clean and well equipped, and Aaron responded to our questions immediately. WiFi was awesome and there’s cable, free laundry in the garage, and a dedicated parking spot behind the unit. It’s also dog friendly and has a small courtyard where we could let our dog out to play, and there’s a huge dog park a 5 minute walk away. We’d definitely stay here again.

Exactly how the pictures look. It's a very stylish apartment with everything you'd need. You can easily walk to all of the main attractions of OB. There is a deli/store right behind the unit which makes it very easy to stock up on supplies. If you're a couple traveling to OB, I would recommend.

I highly recommend this place! The communication was amazing. The home feels fresh and new. It’s close to a grocery store, deli and amazing restaurants and just a quick walk or bike ride to the beach. Aaron and his team were so helpful with giving local suggestions and answering questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Casa Verde is exactly as pictured. It is clean- airy light - space with lots of good energy. Everything you could ask for was provided - very clean and updated. The space is connected with a few other units and all of the neighbors were friendly and had a great community spirit. If you love the feel of OB you are right there in the heart of it with the beach being within walking distance, a plethora of great restaurants near by, and regular OB events (such as the Wed Evening Farmers Market) to keep you more than entertained. If you are traveling with pups be assured this is an excellent place to bring them for comfort and security (gated areas) and great opportunities to exercise them with the dog park and the dog beach very close. I would defiantly chose Casa Verde for my next visit to San Diego. You can not go wrong on this great accommodation.

Clean house, great location, just no A/C & Heater. Huge counter space, had a coffee machine, tv had cable, and neighbors were nice.

Alan, apologies about the heater...turns out the pilot light went out. Had you reached out we would have happily relit the pilot. As for the AC, we pull the unit (it is a floor unit that vents out the window) since it is unnecessary in the fall/winter/spring here in SD. It takes up a fair amount of space and requires that the window be left partially open, which is a waste in the winter. Glad you met our neighbors!

make sure you check you email. even if you dont tho, Aaron was nice enough to call and basically do a verbal check in by explaining the email. my dog loved the area, alot of great spots. you can lime/bird pretty much anywhere nearby.

Andrew, not sure why you warned guests to check their email. I confirm every booking within 5 minutes of it being completed and explain at that time that self-service check in details will be sent one week prior to arrival. Those directions come via the AirBNB application (and in a truncated format via email) so, in reality, every AirBNB traveller should have the application on their mobile device since that is the most efficient means of communication before, during and after a visit. Glad we could walk you through getting into the uint, Always happy to assist whenever we can. Also glad the ppooch liked OB (the best place for dogs in SD!).

Excellent and professional communication throughout booking and our stay. Very recently renovated, very clean, and a great location for proximity to local restaurants and the beach. It is important to note that this place does not have A/C and even with fair temperatures and fans running all day, you really cannot get cool inside the condo. This is clearly and fairly mentioned in the listing, but do be aware of it. Unfortunately the bed and pillows we found to be very uncomfortable, so much so that we left a day early. I don’t know that everyone would share this experience but it’s worth noting if you have back or neck issues. That said, the place is very convenient to making yourself at home in the neighborhood, the kitchen is wonderful to have, and the couch is also very comfortable. A solid place to stay in a good location with very professional and dependable hosts. If they are able to upgrade the mattress and install a window unit for AC this place would be 5 stars all day.

Alex, I am sorry you found the bed and pillows to not be to your liking. We have never had that complaint...but as you said it is a personal thing. I will have my guest services people check into the condition of the mattress and pillows regardless. We do not have air at this unit but we are considering adding a window unit since that should be sufficient for the space. Aaron

We stayed at Casa Verde for 2 weeks with our 7month old. Location: Short walk to Newport where you’ll find all the eateries and shops you need. Short drive to Trader Joes or Vons supermarket. Very easy to access all the attractions of San Diego by car, we didn’t use public transport so can’t comment there. One warning about being under the flight path but from what we could see of San Diego itself you’d be hard pushed to find somewhere that isn’t! Facilities: we had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen and laundry in the garage. Plenty of towels and even some beach equipment to enjoy (we didn’t use due to the weather). Can’t think of anything that we were missing to be honest. Host: aside from a couple of emails checking we were ok we didn’t have any contact with the hosts which was fine by us! Had we needed to I knew how to contact them. Cleanliness: everything was very clean, floors could have done with one more going over but otherwise no complaints. Wow would stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family. Thanks for a great stay Casa Verde!

Zoe, thanks for the kind words. I always try to express to visitors to San Diego that the joy of the urban airport is that you can land and be just about anywhere in 30 minutes. The downside to that benefit is that just about anywhere that you want to be (from downtown/Little Italy) to the beaches) all get some amount of plane noise. Cleaners will double back on the floors to make sure to address the issue you noted. Until next time!

Beautiful place. Really clean, looks just like the pictures. Amazing kitchen. Everything you need. Great location. I sat outside quite a few times enjoying the sun. I would definitely rent this place again. Great deli on the corner too. Very impressed.

Aaron's rental in OB was fantastic. The apartment is nicely furnished and was very clean. Kitchen is well stocked with nice appliances. Location is great, with parking available within 1-2 blocks (often out front). The beach cruisers available were fun and the beach is just a ride or quick walk away. The shared outdoor space is nice however we didn't use the outdoor furniture because it was covered in the dog hair. Otherwise fantastic property. Would stay again.
