The stay on Voltaire was great. Everywhere we wanted to go was easily accessible by walking or a quick car ride. The place was clean and Aaron was super helpful throughout the stay. While it is hard to hold it against the stay, there was an incredibly loud bass noise every night that made it difficult to sleep. That being said, it was totally made up for by Aaron’s hospitality and assistance throughout our time there.

This is a wonderful rental. Really well appointed and comfortable. The host was very responsive with some issues we had with the water filtration and the bedroom TV. You will want to be aware that you are in the middle of a busy area with restaurants and bars. That has it's advantages and disadvantages. We chose this area for the walkability to the beach and restaurants. There is bar noise until 2 am though that you can hear in the bedroom. Also, we really enjoyed the outdoor tub for our unit. while the other unit can't see into the space (it is fully enclosed) the bathroom window from the other unit does open to the private area. It is blocked so they can't see in but I'm assuming if they had the bathroom window open they could hear. This is a duplex and the front space (where the fire table is) is essentially open to the other renters. they are blocked from coming to your side but you are sitting near each other if you are all at the outdoor tables. We enjoyed our stay!

The place is tastefully decorated and had a very comfortable bed. I was disappointed that there is actually not a Nespresso coffee maker. It would be helpful to have a binder with recommendations of restaurants and coffee places. But no major complaints.

Denise, we are glad you enjoyed your visit. We do have exhaustive lists of local attractions on our website (paper is so passe in 2024 and doesn't last!). We have moved on from Nespresso, they were too finicky and most people preferred drip. We do not advertise it but I understand that prior guests have mentioned it in their reviews. The place was nice and comfortable. There was a constant smell coming from the bathroom. Not too bad. Also, the back gate code should be changed and key pad has the numbers warn out. Just a suggestion. Overall, the place was really nice.

We had a grand time. This is a lovely home to stay at, and a great location to stay at. It was a wonderful location, just a walk-away from the beach, and a lot of other fantastic spots. We had a great stay here- you’re located right by the beach with all the shops and restaurants. The Airbnb is comfy and the outdoor bath is a major plus. The host is very responsive and helpful, and it was great to have a private parking spot in a a part of town with a lot going on. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and great host! The place has plenty of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, and the beach within walking distance. Having a dedicated parking spot was really nice as well. The host was super responsive and answered all of our questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Really lovely spot! Very walkable, cute and safe neighborhood. The interior is clean and the kitchen well stocked. The host is very responsive. And the outdoor bath is such a great romantic extra! Plus a personal parking spot. The only thing to mention is there is a bar right across the street so you can here a little noise on Friday or Saturday night but it wasn’t too crazy.

Stayed at this cute beach house for our honeymoon! The place is well kept and has great outdoor spaces. We loved the walkability, and it was especially thoughtful that the host provided beach towels and chairs so we could enjoy the beach scene. Aaron’s home was a great home base to explore ocean beach from. We had pretty much all the best food and drink options within an easy walk. All the while we had a well finished place to stay including the uniquely private outdoor tub and dedicated front porch with fire pit.

I can’t say all the amazing things about this property or the host/management/cleaning team. We truly are grateful to have stayed & made the most incredible memories! The house is so charming and very beautiful inside. I love how close the beach was and if you wanted to go to restaurants and bars, it’s extremely convenient. Only complaint is how loud the planes are day and night, and some homeless people hanging out by the entrances. Those are things that can’t be avoided, but the house is great.

The place was absolutely fabulous. Super clean, soft linens and towels, wonderful bed and completely accommodating on every level. The private outside bath tub was a dream. Gas fire pit and couches were a special place to hang outside with a glass of wine. I would consider renting again, in order to, visit my daughter who lives in the SD area. Right in the heart of Ocean Beach, perfect location. We were able to walk to the beach, and there were restaurant options literally across the street. The outdoor soaking tub was a relaxing amenity to have, as was the alley parking. Rainfall shower was also nice to have. The unit made for a nice vacation and was close to so many great places.

This was a very nice and cozy apartment. We enjoyed a relaxing evening in the outdoor bathtub. Walking distance to so many places in eclectic Ocean Beach. The Wednesday night market was especially amazing with lots of local produce and food trucks. Every morning we went to Coffee and Plants just one block away. Please note: Ocean Beach is right in the flight path of the airport and very noisy. Bring your earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Cute place to stay. Small but had exactly what we needed and was very elegant. Location was nice and convenient too. Host was extremely responsive and we had everything we needed for an easy check in.

This airbnb was such a treat to find. as a San Diego local, I know the area very well and have stayed in quite a few other airbnbs here for mini staycations. What made this airbnb stand out and be different from the others is the combination of privacy and the backyard spa. whether you were in the backyard spa or anywhere else in the airbnb, you would never guess that you were on a lively street by the beach. you really feel like you're in your own private little bubble until you walk out the front door. The airbnb was spotless and beautifully decorated. everything felt coherent with a natural flow that made you feel right at home. The rainfall show head was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating and probably would be my favorite standout feature- if it wasn't for that PERFECT BATHTUB. I would love to come back in the future and look forward to doing so! thanks to the hosts for having us and being responsive and friendly while providing clear check in and check out instructions :)

We had a wonderful stay here! It was close enough to walk everywhere, a lot of great little places right off the street, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the beach to be quiet and peaceful and really enjoy the home. It’s very secured, very clean and matched the pictures perfectly. We told so many people about this place and cannot wait to visit again! The outdoor spa area was our favorite, so relaxing! Book this place!! ??

This was a nice spot just a few blocks from the beach. Love that they provide beach towels and chairs—a must-have! The location provides easy access to anything and everything you could possibly want to do, and the parking spot was a nice perk. The plane sounds didn’t bother us, but if you’re a light sleeper you may want to stay somewhere farther from the airport (which might be difficult to do given its central location in the city).

Excellent space in ocean beach which typically can be a bit rundown. The house is private enough even though it is in a busy area, we had no problem with sleeping as the bedroom is more in the back. Gets a little noisy at night but quiets down where it isn’t a bother at all The house was very clean, the outdoor bathtub is really a nice addition for some private time and also made the king bed a very nice suite, the front has a nice table to sit around the gas fire when the nights were chilly (which was every night), it’s a great walk to the pier and other ob shops restaurants, and just a few doors down from ob noodle house (highly recommend) and Voltaire beach house. The neighbors unit next door was pretty close but we got lucky with a very nice couple, there were a few times I could hear them but nothing bothersome. We enjoyed our stay greatly and hope to come back again soon They even had a hair dryer and flat iron that I used, and the king bed is super comfy! We loved it!

Gorgeous inside of the building. Has all extras you could want. Hosts were great. Only downsides were loud music throughout the night from the bar across the street along with if you have to park in back, it is a super sketchy area with visible drug use and anything more than a sports car won’t fit due to someone living in a UHaul back there. (Not the hosts fault but should be mentioned.) Pros outweighed the cons.

Absolutely loved this spot! The place was exactly as pictured. Very walkable area with farmers market, restaurants, bars and spots to watch sunset. Really enjoyed the fire pit in the front, appreciated the modern look and took advantage of having a parking spot! There was an issue with the refrigerator water filter needing to be replaced and the host took care of it asap. Unfortunately, the fan was also broken so it made a terrible noise all day, but there wasn't enough time to fix it before I checked out (this was out of the hosts control). I would absolutely stay here again!

We loved this spot! Located ideally to restaurants, and the beach. It was also less than 2 minutes walk from a great local coffee shop and a Co-Op grocery. This place is on our short list for when we visit San Diego again.

A genuinely wonderful stay for a few days of relaxing and decompressing. Check in was super easy, the house was spotless and the interior design and amenities were lovely (loved the nespresso coffee machine, the great quality fancy hair flatiron and big fridge with ice machine!!), the outside huge bathtub was a dream, Aaron even provided bath bombs! The enclosed patio where the tub is was so nicely decorated, private and romantic. The bed was big and comfy although a little creaky. The parking in the back alley was a tight, definitely not fit for a larger vehicle but we lucked out with a parking space on the street right in front of the house. The OB noodle house was recommended to us and was right across the street and was SO yummy. The location surprised me a bit just because it was a lot busier than I thought and was on a busy street, however the curtains and high walls really did make it feel a lot more private (which we loved). I really would stay here again!!

Overall, the stay was satisfactory and as advertised. The host was very responsive which was welcome and the property had clearly benefitted from recent refurbishment. There were a few small niggles such as slightly stained bedding and a noisy bar opposite the property but overall, the stay was enjoyable.

Flat is really nice and modern and in a nice area of San Diego really close to the beach. Marco, the owner, is a great guy and always ready to help - it was just great fun to hang out with him! The only down side and only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars was the online communication with the person/people managing the property (Aaron?). They were always unwilling to help or solve any issues we had and were frankly even rude at times.

Mariana, apologies not sure what was offensive (possibly there was a language barrier?). Happy that you met and enjoyed Marco and that he was able to solve the toilet issue with the plunger that you could not figure out. We also had him move the Nest to auto from cooling so that it works both ways. We enjoyed this location as it was close to every where we wanted to be including a few bars and a super delicious noodle house right around the corner. At times, there was a lack of privacy- a risk with any beach town property- but as we were mostly coming and going it was alright. The atmosphere was young and vibrant and we enjoyed our stay.

This was a lovely stay. Check-in was easy. Parking was convenient. The bed is comfy. The space is beautiful though it is slightly more cramped than the pictures lead you to believe. Overall a great experience.

Place was on a great location and walking distance from the beach and many restaurants. The choice of furniture and cleanliness of the house made our stay very comfortable. The outside tub in your own private area was amazing at night. We highly recommend you stay here!

The unit is super chic yet cozy. It’s actually the first AirBnB I’ve stayed in in SD that had central A/C. It kept me comfortable during the recent extreme heat in CA. The beach is a short walk down the street. There are restaurants and little shops all along the way. I came for relaxation and found it at this unit and in OB.

Comfortable, clean stay with modern amenities. Walking distance to all the great things Ocean Beach has to offer. The owners connected to the unit are very friendly and welcoming. Only minor complaint is that the unit is across from a bar and, although the unit does a great job at blocking out noise, you can hear some music and street noise until the bar closes. We use a sound machine, and we were able to easily drown out the noise.

Outdoor bathtub. I could start and end my review right there. ? My teen daughter and I loved our stay at Aaron’s place! It was an absolute jewel box of a place. Spotlessly clean and beautifully outfitted. Super comfy bed. Wonderful lighting, a/c. Easy to find and access. Easy dedicated parking. The outdoor bathtub stole the show, truly, and anchors a private enclosed patio. I was shocked about the hot water situation— we easily filled that huge bathtub twice each night. Such a wonderful experience. The front patio with fire pit and seating is lovely too. Everything was just as pictured. It’s not a huge place, but it’s a perfect size for two adults, or one adult and teen, in our case. The location is super convenient— an easy walk to Ocean Beach, bars, restaurants, etc., and a short drive down to Cabrillo or over to Liberty Station. We didn’t even need to hit the grocery store because of all the food so close by! The Tiki açaí stand on the corner opposite was perfect for breakfast (those açaí bowls, oh my!) and coffee. Fun brunch and bar place just across the street too. There is a fun buzzy neighborhood atmosphere outside— lots of good people watching and energy— but all is quiet and peaceful inside. We were fortunate enough to chat with the friendly neighbors and felt absolutely at home and welcome. It was kind of hard to leave. Thank you Aaron for your hospitality and sharing your place with us!

We had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, beautiful, and everything was brand new. Lots of thoughtful details, it felt like home. The outdoor area with the fireplace was perfect for the cooler nights and the soaking tub was amazing. Aaron was a wonderful host, super nice and quick to respond. Location was great, close walk to the beach and lots of great restaurants. Highly recommended! Can’t wait to stay here again!
