Vacation Rentals By Aaron was amazing at what they do! So responsive, so helpful, and completely forgiving of my user errors (aka not reading correctly) with technology. The home really is a good size and the living room is so comfortable. My husband and I took our dog out of town on vacation and he was able to trot around the gated front yard no problem. The deck outside really is beautiful. The only drawbacks were the bed being quite loud (getting up to run to the restroom will easily wake the lite sleeper alongside you) and I think it’s a shared wall since we could hear people walking in the main owners home. We love dogs so it’s not a negative, but the shared space does have two friendly pups that hang out. So if that is something that doesn’t work for you, just a heads up!

Overall a very nice stay. The communication was great and there were no major problems. The jacuzzi was not turned up hot enough and so we never got to use it unfortunately.. I recommend checking it a couple hours in advance and making sure it's going to be hot when you're ready to get in.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The host was very communicative and helpful. The proximity to the beach as well as local shops, food and even a Target, was fantastic. We never had an issue with parking, there was always plenty of space. You can hear airplanes from SD airport taking off however it was not a big deal and you quickly get used to it. We would definitely stay at this home again! Thanks to the host for the great accommodations!

This place was amazing. Just a couple blocks from the beach. The view from the deck was amazing. Place was super clean, we were able to use the apps on the TV or you could use your own accounts. The beds were so comfy that the kiddos didn’t want to get off the beds. They had extra blankets which was a plus for the SD weather. AC was a plus too. SD is cool Weather but tends to get a bit humid which having the AC was nice. Definitely would stay again next year. As we do this mini Vacay get away w our two kiddos and 3 fur babies.

This is in a prime location less than 1/2 mile to the beach and east driving to all the big San Diego attractions. For folks who aren’t as familiar with walking places this may seem far but it is truly a very easy, short walk by California standards. We loved the patio and hot tub at night. house is around 15 minute walk from the beach but with the hill it makes it hard to walk back. i suggest driving there’s usually parking closer. also as it’s not as well advertised the outdoor space is shared but the people it’s shared with are usually never out there

House was in a okay neighborhood. Great for walking to beach or workouts. Was furnished extremely well when we arrived with all cooking needs and even Toiletries to get through a few days. Communication was wonderful and shared tenant is very nice. I would stay closer to beach or downtown San Diego if I do this again. Just so we don’t to drive or pay Ubers. But it was a great place.

Awesome location in Ocean Beach, only blocks from the beach and shops. We really enjoyed our stay ! The kids had fun playing in the backyard and on the trampoline, we enjoyed the hot tub a lot, and loved grilling on the BBQ and hanging out on the sunny terrace. When we arrived, there was a strong smell of gas throughout the house. We messaged the host, Aaron, and he was very responsive. He sent San Diego Gas&Electricity over right away who diagnosed that the heater was unsafe to use (and turned it off). Whenever we had a question, Aaron was super helpful and responsive. He sent over the cleaner to bring bed sheets (they were missing for the pack n play), sent someone over to unlock the bathroom door (that locked itself), and when we found out the bath stopper was missing in the bathroom, he bought one and brought it over himself so that our kids could take a bath that night. Overall, a very responsive host and a great place to stay in San Diego!

This house by far exceeded our expectations! It had everything you could possibly need or want and then more! Perfect location, easy walk to great restaurants and the beach. Parking was never a problem (which I was worried about in OB). The deck was huge and a great place to unwind and relax! I would 100% return to this house again in the future. This house was absolutely perfect for my weekend trip to San Diego. The location was ideal; just blocks from Ocean Beach, Dog Beach and plenty of restaurants and shops. You could walk or bike to “downtown” OB and enjoy some great food and stunning views. The house itself was comfortable, sparkling clean, and had all the amenities you’d ever need. I spent most of the weekend soaking up the sun on the huge outdoor deck! And the hot tub was an added bonus. This property is dog friendly and my pup had the best time hanging out in the yard and exploring the area with me! I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway to sunny San Diego.

I was searching for a place to stay close to the water in San Diego when I came across this home located in Ocean Beach. I wanted to go somewhere to celebrate my 2 teenagers’ birthday and with college starting, I didn’t want to go somewhere far even though (due to Covid 19) their classes were all online. I was fortunate enough to find Aaron’s place where we stayed the weekend before Labor Day weekend (which seemed to be the hottest weekend of the year by far). It was the perfect time to be in San Diego because it wasn’t too hot. Upon arrival, we ordered take out food and ate outside on the deck. The home is also a short drive to Sunset Cliffs where we watched the sun go down over the ocean. A trip to San Diego is not complete without at least spending some time at La Jolla beach. We ventured out early the next day and had breakfast in La Jolla, left the car where we parked and walked from the restaurant to the beach. We saw leopard sharks there, but just be careful with sting rays swimming around in the water too. Before heading back home to Orange County, we stopped by Cabrillo Monument Park which was just a short 15 min. drive from the house. Overall, it was a memorable weekend for creating some family memories and Aaron’s place was the perfect base to do this because it was so close to everything we wanted to do. If you’re considering a trip to San Diego and looking for a place to stay...well, you found the place!!

This place was great! The owner was home and she has a lab puppy that got to play with our dog. She was really friendly and offered some tips on where to eat. They have a very well stocked kitchen! You genuinely don’t need much other than maybe some coffee grounds/coffee creamer or random spices. There is no air condition and it can get a bit humid by the beach, so just be aware of that. There are plenty of fans but if this will be an issue for you I would not recommend staying here. Other than that it was great! No complaints!!

This place is so cute and perfect for the 4 of us. We met the owners who live behind the home and they were super friendly and chill! Our dogs loved the backyard, where they could wonder and do their business. I'd say the best part for us was sitting on the deck and watching the sunset after a long day at the beach. The view was gorgeous and well worth the stay as well as the Jacuzzi in the back. There were plenty of towels for us to take to the beach and had I known there were beach equipment in the basement in the back, I would've taken the chance to borrow it. Lots of street parking available so that was not a problem. We loved everything about the place! Thank you for the hospitality!

This place is awesome! Very quick response, extremely easy check in, great yard, beautiful rooftop views, and the hot tub was perfect. We brought our dog who was able to roam as he pleased and enjoy his time in the various outdoor spots. I would highly recommend this place, you will love your stay.

Super awesome location close to the beach, a kids playground, and a fun strip with food, bars, and coffee shops. Place was family and doggy friendly. Place exceeded my expectations

This is in a great location in Ocean. The hot tub is a nice touch. Wasn't able to have a fire on the rooftop deck due to rain and a lack of kindling. There was lighter fluid but would have preferred a hatchet to cut some of the firewood into smaller pieces. The only negative was that the beds were not comfortable. In addition, the full-sized bed, which is the bottom bunk, was extremely creaky, so it was very loud whenever someone moved around. It also felt as though with two adults sleeping on it, it was on the verge of breaking. Also do not put anything on the heater grate in the living room--it melted one of my sandals.

Adelia, apologies about the rain (you know now much we hate that here in SD!). We do have kindling (and an axe and lighter fluid) but it is stored in the closet by the hot tub (we don't like to keep that stuff out with kids around). That info should have been in your guest guide. I will have the team check the beds. Usually it is as simple as replacing a broken slat but we don't usually have adults on the bunk so it can go unnoticed until that occurs. The heater is something we will check...while we rarely need the heaters in SD (you had the coldest and wettest week we have had in a long while) the grate should not get that warm.

This place was great - super clean with a great backyard and an awesome sun deck! My dog loved staying here with me as well! Really close to restaurants / bars / shops in Ocean Beach. Great views, perfect for an extended work stay or a beach getaway. Communication was very quick and check-in was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

The Saratoga house was wonderful. Ocean Beach is a funky little surfer town with some really cool spots. We checked out Azucar, as recommended, and it was amazing. Breakfast Republic was also a really great spot for brunch. All of OB is walkable from this house, though the walk back is a little tough - we ended up taking an Uber back one night just because the SD Zoo took a lot out of us earlier in the day. This house is really close to all San Diego has to offer. We grilled out one night on the incredible gas grill, and got to spend a little time on the rooftop and in the hot tub - both of which were as advertised and more. The pergola above the hot tub was really nice as well. I don't believe there was A/C in the unit (I don't recall if the listing offered it), but the multitude of windows/fans helped to offset some of the daytime heat. The neighborhood seems really nice, though we did notice a sign speaking out against vacation rentals, so it must be a contentious topic in the area. Overall, we really loved our stay, and would stay again! P.S. - there was no Pack 'n' Play in the unit as requested, but someone came and delivered one to us within an hour of our arrival, great customer service! Thank you again! - Dan

My family really enjoyed our stay. We loved the local feel of Ocean Beach and quick access to the shore and freeway. It was great having on street parking so it is easy to load and unload the car with beach gear, groceries, etc. The roof deck and jacuzzi are definite perks! The house has plenty of beach gear and towels, and access to a washer and dryer was clutch as we were getting ready to pack. The neighborhood is charming and quiet, aside from the airplanes which seemed to fly most often in the mornings and evenings. The wifi worked best in the back rooms, and when it went down the owner responded quickly to get it running again. We loved being able to vacation with our dog, and we went to Dog Beach twice (it's just a 15 minute walk away). Everything was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful location and minus some airport noise, a fabulous place to spend your time in America’s Finest City. Very clean and nicely appointed - one of the nicest in the neighborhood. A few short blocks and you’re at the beach or for sunsets. Too lazy to walk that far? Watch it from the rooftop deck, it’s even more spectacular from there! Lots of good restaurants and easy access to Sea World and all main highways. Betsy and Aaron will take care of whatever you need.

Better than expected! The outside patio was very inviting. The house was clean, beds were comfy and location was great. All the comforts of home plus more. We were able to awake up, make a nice homemade breakfast, go for a morning walk to the beach, explore San Diego then back in the evening to enjoy dinner and the sunset from the rooftop patio. Would definitely consider booking again. :)
