Rooftop Deck with Ocean Views in Mission Bay

The room we rented was very nice and comfortable. The location was perfect for us since our son lived in the neighborhood, and it is convenient to the Interstate and the San Diego Trolley. Parking onsite is limited to small vehicles. The propery was very clean and everything worked. Being able to call the owner when we had questions was an added benefit throughout our stay. We also noted updates are ongoing on the property. The sunset over Mission Bay was beautiful from the roof top terrace. We will consider staying here again in the future.

This location turned out to be absolutely perfect for my husband and I! It was close to MCRD SD and everything else we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had good pressure so we were set for our stay. I only wish we would have gotten a heads up that there were some renovations or something going on so we wouldn’t have been surprised by all the boxes, etc. that were cluttering up the patio. Definitely not a deal breaker, just would have been a nice to know.

Very nice place that was private and secure. The slotted parking space will only fit a car or small SUV. The patio with the bbq is under construction, so if that’s what you want, make sure it’s been completed. The roof top patio was great to watch the sunsets. Trolley is only a few blocks away for added convenience to make it to old town or downtown if you don’t want to drive. It’s a small studio, but it has so many things to use for the kitchen, etc which was helpful. Hosts were very friendly and helpful if anything was needed.

Das Apartment entspricht der Beschreibung. Ein grosses Plus sind die Waschmaschine, Trockner und die Spülmaschine. Auch einen Mini-Backofen oder einen nutzbaren Gas-Aussengrill findet man eher selten.

Our three-day stay at this Airbnb was exceptional. Super clean bathroom and kitchen was very pleasant, and the host's hospitality was invaluable. We rented a car and the place is very convenient 2 lights from the highway if you're planning to explore the city all day and return to this comfortable Airbnb in the evenings. Will likely return and recommended very quiet and comfortable.

The location is perfect as everything is very close by. The entire unit was clean and very welcoming. I confused myself on entrance but was my end trying to find the correct door. Wasn’t much of an issue to me but the parking space I thought was assigned was occupied on arrival and had to park on another street. The Host contacted me about it the next day and was very friendly and understanding though so that was nice. Overall, I would recommend if you’re visiting Local tourist areas and want a clean, fun place to stay.

We had a great stay here for a few days. We did not want to leave! We loved the outdoor space, and how perfect the location was. 10-15min drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The keurig was not working the first morning, and when we returned that afternoon it had already been replaced with a new one. Kathy was quick at responding and very helpful. They have all amenities needed to feel right at home. We can't wait to come back to San Diego and hopefully be able to stay here again. Thanks for everything!

Great little studio apt in a nice section of San Diego. John and Kathy go out of their way to make guests feel right at home. They included a lot of nice little extras in the apt like beers, sodas, and pineapple juice in the fridge. They also had a nice large selection of coffee for the Keurig too! We were concerned about the Murphy bed but saw reviews that said it was very comfortable, which we were happy to find out was true! The pictures do accurately reflect the rental. Everything was tidy and clean, we would definitely stay again

It’s was very nice stay.. however I’d there is someone above you in that unit you can hear about every step they take which got a little annoying but was doable with turning up the tv a little. Host was very responsive and nice , there are a lot of checkout rules but as long as you are already a respectful guest they shouldn’t be too bad to follow.

Overall: Nice, but not worth the price compared to what else is out there. For a little bit more per night, you can get a room at the beautiful and luxurious nearby Mission Bay Resort. Upsides: Mission Bay is a great neighborhood! The place was very clean, especially the bathroom. The host was very responsive and friendly. I felt safe. Downsides: This Airbnb was located in the daylight basement of an occupied home. It was a bit noisy during the day because of the upstairs and next door neighbors, but not at night, fortunately. Space was also bit smaller than expected - for example, the bed, though large, is a Murphy/fold-down style bed that occupies most of the room. The bed and bedding was not particularly comfortable. Some things needed maintenance, such as the condition of the blinds/window coverings.

Haley, thanks for the visit. Appreciate the feedback but as a member at the Mission Bay Resort I can guarantee you that the nightly rate there is at least double ours (and you have not access to a private rooftop deck, grill, free drinks, or a kitchenette. Not sure how you would call this s daylight basement, it is a downstairs bedroom (I used to live in as a child) it is not underground at all. We had an AMAZING 48 hours in San Diego! Aaron’s home was spotless. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was hot & the towels were really soft. We especially enjoyed the coffee, water, and beer provided by the host. We loved the patio on the 3rd floor, where you can see the fireworks from Sea World. The location is perfect. We walked to the bay both mornings for coffee & a long walk on the path by the water. The home is a cheap & short Uber away from most main attractions, including Pacific Beach and Old Town. We really enjoyed our stay, and will absolutely be back.

Very good stay. Very clean and easy to park and find the address. Host brought down a space heater when it got cold and they realized that the heater in the unit wasn’t working. They also lent us umbrellas and were flexible about the checkout. Highly recommend!

A great place for our staycation! The Airbnb was quite, close to a nice beach park and hosts were great. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to couples who wants to visit different areas of San Diego and maybe work a bit from the Airbnb. Thank you for great communication!

The Perfect Place to Stay in San Diego We enjoyed everything about our stay! After a long day of travel, the well-lit pathway with the tropical flowers and plants opening onto the well-equipped patio was so welcoming. Every little detail was put into this home and outdoor living space! The indoor space offered a wonderful kitchen with full-size fridge and stovetop and deep sink and dishwasher. The coffee pods and creamer, cold water inside and out, and the beer were all special extras we really appreciated! The outdoor space is beautiful, and we enjoyed working and relaxing on the main patio with the dining table and mini-golf green and the upstairs deck overlooking the bay. Communication was great, and Kathy and John made time to give us both dinner and activity ideas, but gave us total privacy as well. What a great place! Everything is so awesome. A great vacation home with everything there. A fridge stocked with drinks is such a warm welcome. We really did not see much of the other guests and when we did we had a laugh or a quick chat. This place is great!

Great place to stay if you’re renting your own vehicle! Great location with most things just 10-15 mins drive. The Airbnb is small and cozy so probably not ideal for more than 2 people. The deck space is private and quiet. It’s shared by the other rentals so not exclusively yours. All in all a good experience! Would recommend it.

Overall a nice place to stay for the price. If you are looking for a lot of privacy and plan on spending a lot of time at the rental and not going out and about this may not be the place for you. It’s a nice spot to come back to after a day out but during the day it can get loud as there are many other tenants and other renters running around the property. We had some issues with our early check in but it was quickly resolved and the communication was great and they were very accommodating. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for me, would stay again!

This Airbnb was nothing short of amazing. The location, the roof deck, the putting green, the privacy. My girlfriend and I stayed here for a full week and we were greeted with a warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Aaron’s mom, Kathy, took us to the grocery store and gave us recommendations on where to eat and things to do while in San Diego. This place was perfect for a couple and we utilized the roof deck every morning to eat breakfast and hangout in the breezy San Diego weather. You are 10 minutes away from anywhere you want to go. You have great views of mission bay, as well as fireworks from Sea World on Friday and Saturday nights. Also the bed was so comfortable. I highly recommend this Airbnb and would be pleased to stay here again. Thanks again Kathy!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the location was ideal and it was close to all the spots we were wanting to visit (La Jolla, PB, Mira Mesa, etc...). The unit is very clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities you'll need (washer, dryer, stove, and a TOTO WASHLET!). The host was very communicative, accommodating, and friendly. If you have a bigger vehicle, you might want to consider parking on the street (there is parking at the home, but it can be a bit tight) - there is tons of street parking with no time limits that is less than a block away from the Airbnb. Would stay here again, the Airbnb is as advertised and looks exactly like the photos. The owners have a doodle (Summer) who greeted us on our first day and she was such a sweetheart and contributed to our 5 star rating :)

Our stay at Aaron's place was better than we could've imagined it to be. The check in process was easy and Aaron along with his family made us feel more than welcomed into their home. Summer was a major plus and a delightful sight to be greeted by. The location is 15min away from almost everything that you could want to do in San Diego. Having our own space to park at the end of a day out and about was a huge relief. The place was clean and more than stocked with everything you need for your stay. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to San Diego.

This was probably one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in for a nice long weekend. The location is absolutely amazing in a great neighborhood with the beach and restaurants only minutes away in distance. Our stay was wonderful. John, one of the tenants was very friendly and helpful. He gave us a list of things we could check out in the area. Summer (the dog) was adorable. Everything was clean and tidy. The bed was SO comfortable. The location was great. Close to everything, The San Diego Zoo, Old Town, Whaley House. Tourists ideal location!

This place is a little jewel. Every amenity is top rated and there is not a more comfortable bed anywhere in the world. The hosts are warm and welcoming and kind and friendly. The location is amazing and the view stunning. He will be very lucky if you’re able to book this place because as far as I can see it’s almost always busy.

One of the best stays we’ve ever had with Airbnb! The sunset view from the rooftop deck was very pretty! The location was super ideal because we had easy access to the gas station, the freeway, and we were literally just a few minutes from the beach, and close by to many of the attractions we wanted to go to! Our unit had everything we ever needed plus more. Very clean! The bed was amazingly comfortable and soft. The bathroom had a double shower head and we hands down loved the washlet toilet! The kitchen was fully equipped and many appliances were practically new. Loved the fact that they had an Airfryer toaster oven! John and Kathy were on-site during our arrival. They were absolutely warm and friendly and even gave us a complimentary bottle of red wine since my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. We even got to meet the friendly labradoodle, Summer :) We genuinely loved our stay and would stay here again if we are ever back in the area. Thank you John, Kathy, and Aaron!

States it’s an ocean view but it’s not. It’s a bay view and it’s pretty far from the actual ocean beaches. But it’s very clean and updated and the bed is very comfy, as well as a luxurious shower! Despite not being close to the beach we loved our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The studio has been renovated and was so beautiful, even more so than we expected. We had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, an amazingly comfortable bed, beautiful patio, beach stuff, off street parking, washer and dryer, and some things we didn’t know we needed like the wonderful dual headed shower, and the bidet! We really enjoyed the rooftop deck, such a beautiful view of Mission Bay. Even though it is a shared space we were the only ones up there hanging out on the lounge furniture. And we watched the sunset and the fireworks at Sea World from the rooftop deck, such a bonus!! The location was fantastic! You can be on the I-5 in about 2 minutes and get to most of the attractions in 15-20 minutes. But you are far enough away that you don’t hear the traffic! And Kathy was so sweet! She had tea for us along with snacks. And it was a delight to chat with her. We definitely want to go back! One of my all time favorite Airbnb’s!!

This place was so much more than we expected. It had great views and even mini putt. We got lucky that we were able to experience the fireworks from sea world right on the balcony. The outside kitchen came stocked with a lot of great refreshments. But what I really think was the winner of this place, was the bed. It was one of the most comfortable beds and pillows I have slept on in a while.

We stayed five nights and it was a perfect rental for us. Having the outdoor space was a bonus. Our three year old granddaughter loved coming over to play. It is clean, spacious, and well taken care of. We were visiting family and the location was perfect. Not far from airport. We look forward to renting this space again, soon. Thank you!

Extremely comfortable unit with full AC and extra amenities. Location was ideal. Backyard was not private whereas other guests were using space. Dog feces present on putt putt hole #2. Rooftop deck was great but not easily shared with multiple guests. Thank you.

Clean and Cozy space. My husband and I really enjoyed our time there. We had everything we needed to feel at home plus a bonus of snacks and drinks. My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this location. A beautiful spot near the bay and close to the airport. The host, Kathy was accommodating, welcoming and friendly when we arrived. We had plenty of toiletries and kitchen supplies at our disposal that I wish I didn’t over pack my carryon with my own. The bottom patio area was very cozy and cute; hanging lights, mini putt putt course, a outdoor dining table, a lemon tree with large lemons, and a mini fridge with beer (a great treat to have after a long flight). The rooftop deck was relaxing and a great spot to watch the sea world fireworks, they were pretty to see in the distance. We enjoyed many sunsets during our stay up there, plenty of seating. There is a car wash and gas station right in front but it does not interrupt the view nor cause any loud noise. A 7-11 right across the street too which was perfect for any last minute snacks or items needed. The inside of the bnb was cozy, quaint, clean and organized. The Murphy bed was easy to pull down and I enjoyed having the pull out side tables and soft lights above as well. The bed was extremely comfy and large, we would spend long days touring the city or hiking so coming back to that bed was a great relief. A large tv and an air conditioning unit, a dishwasher and even a bidet were just a few of the great amenities provided. Kathy, who was hosting this location, was very nice and helpful, offering us tips and fun spots to visit. She was sweet and made sure we were comfortable. We met her neighbor once, who was also very friendly and had a beautiful dog. It reminded us of our neighbors back home so we did not mind. It seems that most people in San Diego are quite friendly! This was the last trip of the summer for us and we packed as much activities as we could into our short week there, the bnb was the icing on top for an amazing stay. Thank you again to Aaron and Kathy! We hope to return in the future!
