Ultra Modern Ocean Beach Escape

The bathroom window was kept open for reason to prevent any mildew and smile. It was somewhat inconvenient since at night when the weather was cold it was not comfortable to use the bathroom due to cold air coming through window. I think having a heater in the bathroom and fixing the fan will help a lot in avoiding any mildew.

I stayed here for 4 nights. I didn't get to use the kitchen nor tub, but the place was super nice. I loved the location. The front porch with the couch was nice. The washer was a bit musty, though, and the hamper in the bathroom looked like it had mold spots on the bottom of it. The pillows were very flat, and the bed was stiff and noisy. The place was very clean, and the communication was great. It was nice getting in a little early. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here.

A wonderful spot to stay! Very close to bars, restaurants, yoga studios, grocery stores, the beach, etc. seriously an awesome spot. If you are a light sleeper, there are planes going by often and the noises of the nightlife. We didn’t have a problem with it, the ac/fan provides sufficient white noise. The home offered a parking space, awesome outdoor lounge area, and great security on both entrances and doors! Would definitely stay here again!

We had to make last minute changes to our stay in Ocean Beach and found Aaron's place in the process. Aaron's place fit out needs perfect and was located centrally to our planned activities. Aaron is a great host and was very responsive. His instruction guide for his place was spot on and helpful and we felt right at home for our stay. There were extra amenities not always available which were a really nice touch. Looking forward to our next trip to Ocean Beach and hoping Aaron's place is available for our stay. ?

What a nice place! Super posh yet very comfortable. Great place to kick back after a long day at the beach, which is super close! We spent 4 days, and got married while we were here! The place was in a great spot and everything was as advertised. Close to food and beverage, and a relatively short walk to the beach. The parking spot was nice. It fit my SUV, but sometimes required a little effort to squeeze it in the space. It fit though, that’s what mattered. Nothing about the place, but we were about done with the all of the air traffic from SAN after 4 days. I think everyplace in OB will have that complaint. All in all, a great place though.

The unit is exactly how it is portrayed on Airbnb. It was very comfortable for two persons and the host provided everything we needed. The unit is about 3 blocks from Dog Beach and there are several restaurants close by. The Beachside Island cafe on Bacon St was excellent for breakfast. (We didn't try it for lunch) The only cons are that the unit is in the flight path so planes were taking off overhead on a regular basis. Also I think the connecting unit next door allowed smoking and I could smell it in our unit on several occasions. Overall it was in a very good location and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect stay for me and my friend who worked remotely for a couple days then were able to enjoy San Diego in the afternoons. Only downside is the noise from the airplanes flying overhead

Traveling to California for the first time, it was very helpful to have such a responsive host and clear instructions from thw beginning. It made traveling less stressful. Very comfortable place to stay in. There is a couple restaurants and bars around the area which close late, but even then the house is private and quiet for the most part. this airbnb was the first one I have ever rented, and I stayed here with my boyfriend who was visiting California for the first time. At first we were a little anxious about what the Airbnb’s surroundings were like, given that it is by a lot of restaurants and was unsure about parking or privacy and so on. But, when arriving I had easy access to a designated parking spot and the location was actually amazing! We went in early January, there was never any loud noise or lots of people or anything of the sort even though you’re right by a lot of cool attractions so it was perfect. There was just the occasional people walking their dogs, everyone was so friendly and the area felt very safe. The price was also really affordable per night plus the week long discount. The host was also very responsive with any questions that we had which gave us a lot of peace of mind. Also, the airbnb seemed to be detached from the other side of the property which made us feel like we had a lot more privacy!

We really enjoyed this location and everything that was around us. Very friendly neighborhood and places to eat and visit. The only downfall was the tub didn’t seem to be cleaned and was very obvious so we unfortunately didn’t get to use that. Otherwise this was definitely worth the stay and we enjoyed the trip greatly!

Incredible place to stay if you’re trying to get away from the monotony of life. Located in a great neighborhood with lots of restaurants, bars, and very close to the beach.

The perfect spot for a quick getaway in San Diego. Close to the beach, restaurants, bars. Beautifully appointed inside and out. Very functional kitchen, beautiful outdoor fire pit and fully private outdoor tub, wonderful indoor shower, comfortable bed (if a bit squeaky), cozy living room with a very comfortable couch and a smart TV capable of streaming. Strong internet speeds over Wi-Fi also allowed me to work when I needed to without issue.

This location is a duplex, though we rarely heard people in the other unit. The security was awesome. There were number pad locks on the front and back gate, along with the same at the front door. We emailed a question and an answer was provided within 10-15 minutes. Our place was very clean, quiet and provided a great location. We were able to walk to church, restaurants, shops and the beach within 10-15 min. There isn't cable available, only streaming. We had a great stay and would probably return here if we ever decided to see San Diego again.

Aaron’s place is lovely place for a couples getaway. Beach is about 15 minute walk away and there are plenty of close restaurants/food trucks . One downside is that it can be noisy at night since there is a bar across the street, but keep the windows closed and door closed to the bedroom and it should be fine. Aaron is a great communicator if you need anything he responds very quickly! Would stay again! Loved the outdoor tub and having a parking spot!

So, the Mrs and I decided to take a quick getaway. The following is my pros and cons concerning this rental. Pros: 1. Fantastic response time. The reps responds almost immediately to any concerns (thank you, Kim) 2. The unit is essentially exactly as described (clean, modern, etc.). 3. Parking is at a premium, so it is a good thing that they have a dedicated parking spot. However... Con: 1. There is a heavy population of transients and homeless. As such, you tend to see them more so in the alleyway, which is where the parking spot is located. The rep did respond and addressed the issue when I informed them about the people loitering in the alleyway. 2. The unit is actually a duplex. We discovered that we were able to hear the neighbors through the connecting wall. Of course, this was when they were a bit loud. ? For the most part, it is a decent rental. I have rented rentals that were completely different from their description. However, this was pretty much as described.

In regards to the transient issue, as you know, we contacted the police about the loitering while you were there and they arrived promptly. Aaron's place was perfect for a much-needed staycation. The location is prime, very walkable to many of the shops, bars, and nightlight that OB has to offer. The apartment itself is stocked with amenities and beautifully decorated with modern decor. The outdoor tub and the grill/fireplace were awesome. The only issue I had was some noise from outside, but it's to be expected as the apartment is really close to many bars and restaurants. The benefits of the spot outweigh this small issue, however, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Central location, close to the beach. Good restaurants nearby. We especially liked the fire pit table, and the outdoor tub. As another reviewer said, we also always had lots of hot water. Great indoor rain head shower too. The hosts were responsive and friendly. The neighbourhood is a bit noisy at night on the weekends, but the bedroom is in the back of the house, which helps.

We visit our daughter and family in San Diego several times a year. This unit was, by far, our favorite place ever. If possible, we will stay here every time if it’s available. The inside of this unit looks and feels like brand new construction. It is beautiful, modern, well-maintained, and well-equipped. It was amazing to walk out the door and be right in the heart of OB and easy walking distance to all the great restaurants, breweries, etc.

Overall, we were super happy with our stay. The place was modern, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the outdoor tub and pristine renovated bathroom. This is a perfect stay for a couple who want a private relaxing space after going out during the day. The parking in the back was a little tough to find at night but once we got in it worked perfectly for our needs. The gates and door all were keypad entry so it made it easy to get in and out once we figured out how to use them. The area does have a walkable convenience store and a few breakfast huts which were delish, but for a more bougie eatery you may need to drive elsewhere. The host was super responsive and helped out with any and all of our requests in a super professional and timely manner, even replacing batteries and body wash when needed. The asking price was super reasonable and we felt like all our needs for a one week stay were met. We would def stay again. Thanks!!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Great value for what you get, extremely clean, and host was very responsive. If you are sensitive to it or are very light sleepers, the only downside is some possible noise - you share a wall with the unit next door and it appears to be another rental property so you can be a bit unlucky (we stayed for a couple weeks and for part of it, we woke up to a child stomping around at 430 every morning). The bar directly across the street is also open late everyday so you’ll get noise from either the music or the patrons. If you’re here for a short time and/or don’t mind the noise, it’s going to be a great spot. It feels like a new build—very updated and the outdoor tub was a nice treat (we never ran out of hot water). The layout and amount of space was perfect for the two of us, even when we were both working remote with meetings.
